Now, EPF subscribers can add or update their nominee details online by visiting EPFO website. EPFO has started this service for benefits of the sbscribers and their is no need to visit their office for this work. Subscribers can add or update single or multiple nomination in their PF account and also can provide percentage of shares for each nominee. In the event of subscribers sudden demise only the nominated members can get the EPF amount.
Simple steps to online add or update nominee details with EPF account -
1. Visit EPFO website https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in
2. Login with your UAN number and password
3. Click on Manage - E-Nomination
4. You will see details like- UAN, Name, DOB etc on screen now provide current and permanent address details and click Save button
5. Now, Click on "Yes" to update your family details. Add Family details to whom you want to nominate. Enter name, DOB, relation, address and their Aadhaar number.
You can also add more nominee by clicking Add row. Go to "Nomination Details" and declare percentage of share you want to provide for nominees and cliking on Save EPF nomination button.
6. Now, Click on e-sign button/icon showing on Pending nomination section. This will redirect to Digital India website for Aadhaar verification.
7. Now, Enter your Aadhaar number and click on "Get OTP" button. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter this OTP and click on Submit button. You will be redirected to EPFO website and a message will be displayed "Pdf signed successfully".
Now you can verify the nomination by visiting Profile - View Service History and Nomination - View Nomination History section.
